The Day Nursery is one of six vital charities located in Oak Park or River Forest that benefit from the Economy Shop's sale of new and gently used clothing and other items to the public. Started in 1919, volunteers to the Economy Shop mark, sort, shelve and sell a variety of clothing, small appliances, shoes, antiques, books and housewares. The Day Nursery's volunteers operate the women's casual room. Sales days vary monthly and are generally on two Thursdays a month and an occasional Saturday or Thursday evening sale.
